Hurricane Chris Definitely Headed for Gulf of Mexico

Unfortunately it appears that in fact Hurricane Chris is definitely headed for the Gulf of Mexico. Although nothing to do with the weather is set in stone, as the storm could hit Cuba or South Florida and weaken. However, even if that storm's energy hits land prior to entering the Gulf of Mexico, this does not mean that energy will not regroup and go again.

If you recall some of the most damaging storms last year like Hurricane Katrina did hit Florida first and then got into warmer water and simple grew to biblical proportions and well then it turned North and we all know what happened then. Well, once Chris enters the Gulf of Mexico you can expect a couple of things.

First you can expect the commodity traders of Sweet Crude Oil to go ballistic and take the price well over $80.00 per barrel setting new record highs. Additionally you can expect $3.40 per gallon gasoline prices and perhaps shortages this time as well if Hurricane Chris grows.

The Gulf of Mexico waters are warm, very warm and this is like Jet fuel for Hurricanes and that means tiny Hurricane Chris will grow and then it could become a Major Category Catastrophe Hurricane. Please consider all this in 2006.
