Driver's License Photos: Lizzie Bordon or Atilla The Hun?

I feel like a common criminal whenever I am asked to produce identification when I purchase an item with a check. What is even worse is producing my driver's license with it's less than perfect photo of moi.

Last week I had to show a department store clerk my drivers license because I was purchasing items with a check. Ive been shopping at this particular store for years and go to the same clerk who Ive also known for years, so I was somewhat insulted that I had to provide identification. I started thinking about the purpose of showing my ID because in person I look nothing like the photo on my drivers license. Actually, I look like a fugitive from the state prison. My right eye is crossed and Im sneering. I wouldnt accept a check from anyone who looked like that.

Next time Ill bring cash. No one ever asks for identification when you pay with cash; but maybe they should. Personally, I think it's a good idea because after checking out my photo ID, the store will think I printed the bills in our basement.

If your driver's license photo looks like Lizzie Bordon or Atilla the Hun, you may never be able to purchase anything again with cash or anything else, unless you have special permission from the U.S. Treasury Department. Thank goodness, then drivers license photos will become obsolete.
